Image converter
Turn any picture into JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, ICO, SVG and more. Batch convert as many as you like — they convert in your browser, on your own device.
Fit Meter
Tracing suits logos, icons and flat artwork and scales cleanly. Photos are better kept as pixels inside the SVG.

For an exact width and height, use the Resize Image tool instead.
Bytes of your files sent anywhere: 0 B · nothing leaves this tab
Every request this page makes is listed as it happens. You’ll see our own code loading, and for some formats a codec engine, but never your file going out.
- Waiting for network activity…
Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools on the Network tab, or turn off Wi-Fi once the page has loaded. The tools keep working.
How to use it
- 01
Add your files
Drop your pictures onto the box, or click it to choose them. Mixed formats are fine.
- 02
Check the settings
Pick the format you want. The settings underneath change to suit it: quality for JPG, sizes for ICO, tracing for SVG.
- 03
Save the result
Press convert and save each file, or all of them as one ZIP.
Why it doesn’t upload
Changing a picture’s format is work your browser already knows how to do. Sending your photos to a server first only adds waiting and risk, so nothing is sent.
How to check for yourselfWorth knowing
- Animated GIF, WebP and APNG keep their animation when converted to GIF or APNG. Every other target keeps the first frame.
- JPG, BMP and the Netpbm formats have no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you pick.
- SVG output either traces the picture into shapes, which suits logos, or wraps the exact pixels, which suits photos. Neither turns a photo into true vector art.
- DDS, PSD, EXR, XWD and JPEG 2000 are read by the FFmpeg engine, a one-time 31 MB download.
- Camera metadata such as GPS location is not copied into converted files.
Questions
Which image format should I convert to?
JPG for photos that have to open anywhere or pass an upload form. PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with transparency. WebP or AVIF for pictures on your own website, where smaller files load faster.
Does converting reduce image quality?
Converting to PNG, BMP, TIFF, TGA or APNG is lossless. JPG, WebP and AVIF are lossy; at the default quality of 90 the difference is invisible in almost every photo.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Yes. HEIC is decoded right in your browser, even on Windows and Android where it normally won’t open. There is also a dedicated HEIC to JPG page.
How do I make a favicon?
Convert a square PNG or SVG logo to ICO. The file holds 16, 24, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 pixel versions, which covers browsers and Windows. A Favicon & App Icons tool that also makes the Apple and Android icons is on the way.
Is there a limit on how many images I can convert?
No. Everything runs on your device, so the only limit is its memory. Hundreds of photos at once is fine on a laptop.
